A hard drive crash is not the worst thing that could happen to a computer and it is when the drive crash brings all your important files to oblivion. Before it happens, better to make sure that you back up all your important files as it would be wise to be observant of the early signs of a hard drive crash.

Here are some of the warning signs of a hard drive crash and one of the most distinguishing is when you see the Blue Screen of Death even once. It is a prelude to a more terrifying scenario that is a hard drive crash. Blue Screen of Death occurs when there is a solemn problem with either software or hardware and it could be caused by anything from a corrupt and dysfunctional program, software incompatibility, registry errors, and damaged drive, among many others.

Usually, a hard drive sounds smoothly under normal circumstances and When you hear the drive clicking or grinding, it means that the spinning of heads are very close to the magnetic platters which is a bad warning sign of a crashing drive.

The computer could only do what it was commanded to do and it wouldn’t shut down on its own and the computer reboots on its own. This could be because of many different factors that are typically hardware issues like an overheating processor due to very low ventilation and its hard drive issue so when you encountered these warning signs of a hard drive crash, be smart and back up all your important files.
