CyberPower Xplorer X7-Xtreme S1 Notebook is a shiny number that the company claims is the world’s fastest gaming laptop. If its specifications are any indicator, then this could well be true.

The notebook functions on a 12-cell battery that supposedly can run for 1 hour. It stands at 15.5″ x 11.75″ x 2.35″ and weighs 5.4Kg. It comes with a free deluxe carry bag. The CyberPower Xplorer X7-Xtreme S1 Notebook houses Intel’s X58 chipset with a Core i7 920 processor which is upgradeable to a Core i7 975 Extreme Edition.

Being a notebook meant for gaming, it runs most modern games effortlessly. With a 17-inch WUXGA TFT LCD display and a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels, it has 16:10 aspect ratio. It supports up to 6GB (2GBx3) of PC3-8500 DDR3-1066MHz/1333MHz RAM. Its graphic support comes from NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPU with 1GB of DDR3 virtual memory.  It supports DirectX 10.1 and HDCP.

It houses three 2.5-inch hard disk slots for storage. For rich sound, it has built-in AC 97 sound and stereo speakers and can support 5.1 channel audio output. The notebook provides a standard 1-year limited warranty and lifetime technical support. And here’s the price tag on it - the basic model will cost $2,335.
