Fight Night Round 4 - Preview - Xbox 360

With the first few games in this series already a hit, it’s only natural that we wait with bated breath for Fight Night Round 4 to release.

The newest addition has legends like Mohammed Ali, Mike Tyson and others in the boxing ring. You can either choose to be one of these great boxers or can create your very own boxer. You can even put your own picture up there using Xbox’s Live Vision device. You also have the option of training to improve your boxing skills. Your trainer will give you suggestions & all this could help you later in the game to beat your rivals.

You can start off by checking your boxer statistics. You can then schedule your fight with your opponent.

Rankings are assigned and these rise as you defeat other boxers and move up the ladder, but be prepared to be called a “bum” if you perform disgracefully.

To move up in the ratings chart, you have to accomplish some goals, like winning a particular number of fights etc. The difficulty level steadily increases as your ratings go up.

The thumbstick controls the punching & dodging functions. Getting a hang of it may take some time.

The actual fight itself does not fail to gratify you. The characters have been so intricately detailed that even their sweat seems real. When you finally land a punch & hear the thump, the joy you experience makes everything seem worthwhile.

Fight Night Round 4 promises to give us all that we’re looking for in terms of fight moves, an energetic commentary, great sounds & astounding graphics.
